St. Giles Cathedral Edinburgh

Old glass from the twelfth century
new glass for Robbie B.

In silent and still repose
I saw the Marquis of Montrose.

I read his epitaph—
here is the paragraph.

“Scatter my ashes strew them in the air—
Lord since Thou knowest where all these atoms are,
I’m hopeful Thou’lt recover once my dust
And confident Thou’lt raise me with the Just.”
